Photo of the Week
Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia)
They are native to the open landscapes of North and South America. They are typically found in grasslands, rangelands, agricultural areas, deserts, or any other open, dry area with low vegetation. They use borrows generally created by other animals as their home. Cool fact, the females are usually larger than the males. It’s the yellow eyes that gets me every time.
