About Me
I'm Wendy MacTurk — a wildlife and conservation photographer specializing in intimate portraits of wild horses and other native species in their natural habitat. Through the lens of my camera, I strive to capture not only the beauty of wild animals, but the untold stories of the landscapes they depend on.
My work is deeply rooted in a love for open spaces and a commitment to conservation. I believe photography has the power to create empathy, raise awareness, and inspire action — especially when it comes to protecting wild populations and public lands. Each image is both a creative expression and a quiet call to preserve the wild places still left.
When I’m not in the field photographing, I’m curating my images for fine art prints, editorial publications, or collaborating with conservation groups.
Thank you for visiting — I invite you to explore my gallery and join me in honoring the wild.
